it's time

Moodboard_purplegray
Lately I've really been drawn to clean, open and free images. Something about it brings me comfort.
Plus, this moodboard really describes the way my alarm clock yells at me every morning.
Except it is with more of a soft glow like a sunrise than someone screaming.
(Truth be told I could probably use some screaming though. lol)

winter white moodboard

snow white moodboard

I grew up in the desert. The blistering heat, dry air, freezing winter winds and once in a blue-moon-snow kinda desert. So naturally, my definition of winter has needed a couple revisions since our relocation to the east coast. While I love the sight of snow and all of the magic it brings to mind, the reality of actual snow is just so foreign to me. I'm still getting used to the idea of living with it but Virginia is not being very helpful. There just isn't any snow! So for now, I will just gaze and awe at beautiful photos and make moodboards to dream about :)

I am so excited to be guest posting for the lovely Sarah who is away on her Italian honeymoon! I got to watch the beautiful bride and groom get married and party the night away over the weekend. I'm sure she will be sharing so many photos as time goes on but right now you can check out her blog and my marriage tip!

dreamy rain

photo
This moodboard is for a very good blog friend I am working with on a redesign. I get excited every time I look at it. Inspiration like this makes me want to race home (despite knowing there is no "race" about it) and just design into all hours of the night. Alas, that is not the schedule I have. I love the two fonts in this moodboard and I can't wait to use my new Bamboo on this layout. I think it will be the perfect introduction and exactly what I've been wanting it for!

There is something so calm about this moodboard, carefree even. It may seem like the rain doesn't fit, but I promise you, it does  :)
